Costa di Serrano, Italy
A clifftop estate
above the Tyrrhenian.
Seven bedrooms. A staff of six. One infinity edge that seems to spill into the sea below. Villa Auberon is held for a small number of weeks each season, never overbooked, never shared.
The Estate
Every room opens
toward the water.

Room by Room
Seven suites,
no two alike.
Woken by the water, not an alarm.
The east wing suite holds the villa's best angle on the sunrise: a private balcony, a soaking tub set beside the window, and a bed dressed in Italian linen turned down each evening.
Stone arches original to 1866.
The main hall keeps its original vaulted ceiling and hand laid stone, cooled by cross drafts off the water. Low sofas, an open hearth, and doors that fold fully open to the terrace.
Built for a chef, open to guests.
A working kitchen with a marble island long enough to seat eight, restored for the resident chef but open to anyone who wants to watch dinner come together, glass of local white in hand.
Dinner, every night, over the coastline.
A long stone table under old olive trees, laid fresh each evening for whoever is in residence. Most guests tell us it becomes the only place they eat all week.
Your Property Manager
Managed by Elena, on site.
Elena Bassano has managed Villa Auberon since the family opened it to guests in 2014. She lives in the gatehouse through the season, meets every arrival personally, and keeps the same six staff on year after year, several of whom have been with the estate since the beginning.
"We only take one party at a time, for a minimum of five nights. It means the villa gets to be quiet again between stays, and it means when you're here, it's entirely yours."
Guest Reviews
Fifty eight stays.
A 4.97 average.
We booked a week for a fortieth birthday and stayed nine days instead. The staff learned everyone's name by the second morning. The swim steps down to the water were the best part, we used them every single day.

Elena had the chef adjust the whole week's menu around a guest with a shellfish allergy without us even having to ask twice. The villa itself is quieter and more private than the photos even suggest.

Worth every euro. The terrace dinners alone would justify the trip. We already asked to hold the same week again next year before we left.
