Eau de Parfum. Three scents built around oud, tuberose and cade smoke, mixed by hand in a Marais atelier since 2019.
Sillage is the trace a scent leaves behind after the person who wore it has already left the room. It is the part of perfume that belongs to everyone else. We build every formula around that trace: what stays on a coat sleeve, on a pillow, on the collar of someone you love, three hours after the spray.

The Composition
A Pyramid of Notes
Every Noir Sillage formula is built in three tiers. Top notes open the bottle. Heart notes carry the identity. Base notes stay on the skin after the top and heart have gone quiet, often for eight hours or more.

Top Notes
First 15 minutes
- Calabrian bergamot
- Pink peppercorn
- Blood orange peel
The opening is bright and slightly bitter on purpose. It is meant to fade fast, so the wearer is not stuck smelling citrus for the rest of the night.

Heart Notes
Hours one to four
- Grasse tuberose absolute
- Turkish rose otto
- Cade wood smoke
Tuberose from a single grower outside Grasse gives the heart its weight. Cade smoke keeps it from turning sweet, the way a good steak keeps a rich sauce honest.

Base Notes
Hour four onward
- Assam oud
- Ambergris accord
- White musk
- Sustainable vetiver
This is the sillage itself: what a stranger notices on an elevator an hour after you have gone. Assam oud, sourced through a supplier we have used since our first batch, anchors all three of our scents here.

The Maker
Rue de Saintonge, Since 2019
Camille Fontaine trained under a house nose in Grasse for six years before renting eighteen square metres above a bakery in the Marais. Noir Sillage started as four hundred bottles of a single scent, Numero Un, sold from that room to friends and a handful of Paris boutiques.
Seven years later the atelier still occupies the same address. Every batch under two hundred bottles is still mixed by Camille herself, by hand, with a glass rod and a scale accurate to a tenth of a gram. Nothing is outsourced past the raw materials.

Named for the ash left after a fire. Sharper and drier than Numero Un, built for cold months and worn by roughly as many men as women in our Paris boutique.

The lightest formula we make and the one closest to skin. Released in 2023 after eighteen months of testing, it is the scent Camille wears most days herself.
